On Tuesday evening we welcome Dungannon Swifts to the Oval for our first home game of the season.

Last season our form against Swifts was very mixed with two wins, a draw and a defeat late in the season that effectively handed Swifts the last place in the UEFA play offs.

For the new season Swifts will be without star men Andrew Mitchell (now Glenavon) and Jamie Glackin (Crusaders) but have added Ryan Mayse from Ballinamallard Utd (always a thorn in our side last season),  Liam McMenamin (ex Strabane Athletic) and Nathaniel Ferris (ex Portadown).

Manager Gary Haveron was delighted with Saturday's opening win and provided a player update: " Currently out injured is Stevie Gordon with a back strain he picked up last Tuesday while training. Our physio Jonny Cummings doesn't  think it should keep him out for long. It's unfortunate for Stevie as he was looking very strong in pre season.

Jonathan Smith is nearly ready to return to training after picking up an ankle injury against Swansea in pre season.

Our only other absentee is Willie Garrett who has stepped up his training to the point where he's now joining in with the rest of the lads. Hopefully he will get a competitive game under his belt when he's allowed to join in full contact in  September. Willie looks strong and is bursting  to get back out there."

The Board of Directors of Glentoran ask that all supporters travelling to the Oval by private car please consider the local residents and emergency services access when deciding when and how to park.

We would also like to remind non season ticket holders that NIFL have increased the adult prices for the 2017-18 season to £11. It would be extremely helpful if supporters had the correct money available at the turnstiles.

 Concession entry remains at £7.
