Coleraine v Glentoran
Irish Cup Quarter Final
Tuesday 13th March 2018, 7.45pm.

On Tuesday evening we head North West to the Showgrounds to face Coleraine in the rearranged Tennents’ Irish Cup Quarter Final.

Willie Garrett will miss the match through suspension but he is likely to be replaced by the returning Calum Birney whose own 2 match suspension finished on Saturday. There are no new injury issues following the weekend match.

Ronnie McFall said on Monday evening: “I was pleased with our fightback on Saturday. We had a difficult start and it’s always difficult to defend the Hospital End at Mourneview. The sharp dip there often makes it difficult to play out of defence and we found that on Saturday. We had a bad start but for the possession they had Glenavon didn’t create many clear cut chances in the first half. It’s a pity we couldn’t see it out after showing so much character and resolve to get into the lead but even so it showed a resilience in our team that’s very encouraging.

We know on Tuesday night we’re facing a good team who’ve had a great season and are challenging Crusaders well for the league. They’re there on merit but we’ve got increasing belief throughout the squad. Also Glentoran has such a great tradition in the Irish Cup and we’re all determined to do everything we can to build on that. We’ll go there with a greater confidence after two very good performances and results against teams above us in the table over the past couple of weeks.”
