Glentoran travel to Ferney Park on Saturday to face Ballinamallard United in the latest round of Danske Bank Premiership fixtures. The Glens, unbeaten in our last seven league games, will be looking to extend that run against a side which earned a 0-0 draw at the Oval back in late August. From the home side’s point of view, they will be looking to record their first competitive victory against the Glens, the only top flight side they’ve yet to record a win against.

Manager Eddie Patterson will have to watch this one from the stand as he serves a one game touchline ban but returning from suspension are Mark Clarke and Jimmy Callacher. Stephen McAlorum still has one match of his suspension to run. Jim O’Hanlon is unlikely to make it having had to leave the action with a hamstring problem last Saturday but David Scullion, impressive in his 15 minute cameo, may push for a starting place. Jordan Stewart, fresh from penning a 2 ½ year contract, will also hope to continue his current good form.

Danske Bank is teaming up with the 12 Irish Premier League teams to offer a great deal to football fans who bank with Danske Bank. Anyone who presents a Danske Bank credit or debit card at the gate at any of the six Premiership games taking place on Saturday 23rd November will gain entry to the match for half-price (£5).

After 16 rounds the Danske Bank Premiership is setting up to be one of the most fiercely contested in recent years, with teams occupying positions two to seven in a state of almost constant flux. Linfield have managed to assert a small degree of dominance at the top of the table, but they will not be resting on their laurels with the likes of Crusaders, Cliftonville, Glentoran and Portadown hot on their heels.

As well as one of the more competitive leagues in recent memory, this season is also proving to be one of the most entertaining, with an average of 3.3 goals per game.
