It's been 7 long years since Ards last competed at the top level of Irish League football and on Tuesday night they face Glentoran at the Oval following their first victory in the Danske Bank Premiership; a 2-0 win over Ballymena United last Friday night. That victory lifted Ards off the foot of the table where they were surprisingly replaced by Linfield. Glentoran's draw at Windsor Park on Saturday ensured that the 'Blues' occupied the bottom spot over the weekend although they will be favourites to beat the side just above them, Warrenpoint Town tomorrow night.

Monday's night's defeat of Cliftonville by Coleraine means that Glentoran could actually climb above the reigning champions with a home victory against Ards. The Glens will be without Jason Hill for the game as he serves an automatic suspension following his dismissal on Saturday. There are doubts too over the fitness of Mark Miskimmin who didn't make Saturday's squad. David Scullion also missed out on Saturday and remains a doubt whilst Mark Clarke will also be assessed before the game. Unfortunately Glentoran are still awaiting international clearance for striker Aaron Boyd so he remains unavailable for the Ards fixture.

Kick-off is 7:45pm.
