Steven Gordon scored the only goal in tonight's friendly fixture away to Lisburn Distillery. The goal came 20 minutes into the game, Gordon chesting the ball into the net from about a yard out.
It was a game of few chances. Jonny Addis thought he'd doubled Glentoran's advantage before the interval but his goal was ruld out for offside. Addis struck a beautiful shot in the second period too and was desperately unlucky to see the ball hit the inside of the post and run away to safety. Late on Substitute Jim O'Hanlon brought an excellent save out of the Whites' keeper.
Eddie Patterson, already without Curtis Allen, Willie Garrett, Niall Henderson and Kristian Gibson, will have been gutted to see striker, Conor McMenamin stretchered off in the first half with an ankle injury. Everyone at Glentoran wishes Conor a very speedy recovery.
