Glentoran Women’s Manager Kim Turner has been named as a finalist for the 2025 Eastside Award for Local Sporting Hero, sponsored by Better.
Following a strong response from the public during the open voting stage, which has now closed, Kim has been shortlisted alongside Darren Baine of DB Fitness and Blaine McMillan of Bloomfield Football Club.
This recognition follows Kim’s outstanding achievement in leading Glentoran Women to the 2025 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership title. Kim was also named the inaugural Manager of the Year at the NIFL Women’s Football Awards.
The Eastside Awards shine a spotlight on the individuals and organisations whose talent, commitment and community spirit make East Belfast a vibrant place to live and work.
Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony hosted by broadcaster Tara Mills at Titanic Belfast on Friday 30th January 2026.
