Glentoran got back to winning ways in style as they hit seven goals without reply against Lisburn Ladies in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership on Sunday.
After slipping to a first defeat of the season at the hands of Waterford Women in the All-Island Cup last weekend Mia Moore settled any nerves with the opener on 16 minutes at the Blanchflower Stadium.
The hosts weren’t hanging about and doubled their advantage on 27 minutes as Kelly Crompton found the net.
A third goal was to follow six minutes later as Aimee Kerr got on the score sheet before she added the fourth on 39 minute to complete an impressive opening 45 minutes for the Glens.
Glentoran continued to carve out openings after the break with Kascie Weir making it 5-0 just before the hour mark.
Kim Turner’s side weren’t done there though as they hit two late goals to complete the scoring through Jess Foy on 86 minutes and Kerr again on 88 minutes to wrap up the convincing win.
