On Saturday evening, the Hillfoot Glentoran Supporters' Club clubrooms on the Castlereagh Road, welcomed its officers, members, Glentoran players and officials to the club’s annual Player pf the Year Awards Night for the 2023/24 season.
The awards were presented as follows:
- Player of the Year: Fuad Sule (above)
- Young Player of the Year: Johnny Russell
A Special Award was made to Jim Hanna. Jim has been active in the running of the Hillfoot for over 50 years - and still is. Jimmy still religiously follows the Glens home and away, and as a Glentoran Vice President can be seen in his scarf in the Directors' Box at every home match. His award was for his work and dedication on the committee for many years
The meeting was addressed by Glentoran Chairman Colin Jess and was attended by Ruth McCreery and as well as Fuad and Johnny, Glens captain Marcus Kane and first teamers Josh Kelly, Charlie Lindsay, Harry Murphy, James Singleton and Aaron Wightman.
