Glentoran Women are delighted to confirm the signing of Northern Ireland Under-19 international twin sisters Gracie and Daisy Conway from Lisburn Rangers.
The Conway twins become the Glens’ first signings ahead of the 2026 season, as the club continues preparations to defend the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership title and compete in the forthcoming UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign.
The highly-rated young talents arrive at The BetMcLean Oval following impressive progress with Lisburn Rangers, where they both played key roles during the 2025 campaign.
Gracie made 39 appearances and scored 23 goals, while Daisy featured 30 times and contributed 1 goal, as the pair established themselves as two of the most promising young players emerging in the local women’s game.
Gracie Conway, an attacking player with a proven eye for goal, has previously represented Northern Ireland at Under-15 and Under-17 levels and is currently part of the Northern Ireland U19 squad.
Her twin sister Daisy Conway, a composed and highly regarded defender, is also involved in the U19 international setup.
The sisters began playing football at the age of six with Carnmoney Ladies before continuing their development with Lisburn Rangers, where they progressed through the ranks together.
Speaking after completing the move to The BetMcLean Oval, Gracie Conway said: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign for Glentoran. It’s one of the biggest clubs in Northern Ireland and when the opportunity came up it was something I was really excited about.
“The standards within the squad are extremely high and the team has been very successful in recent seasons, so it’s a brilliant environment for both of us to continue developing as players.
“Representing Northern Ireland has always been a huge honour for me and my goal is to keep progressing and hopefully push towards the senior international squad in the future.
“Joining a club competing for trophies and playing in the Champions League is a massive opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.”
Daisy Conway added: “This is a really proud moment for both of us. Glentoran is a club with huge ambition and a fantastic reputation within the women’s game.
“Having played against the team, we know first-hand the quality throughout the squad. There are outstanding players in every area of the pitch and a fantastic coaching set-up behind the scenes, which makes it the perfect environment for young players like us to keep learning and improving.
“We’re very grateful to Lisburn Rangers for everything they did to support our development, but we’re really excited to take this next step in our careers.
“The opportunity to train and play alongside such experienced and talented players every week is something we’re really looking forward to, and doing it alongside my sister makes it even more special.”
Glentoran Women head into the new season looking to defend the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership title, having secured the championship in dramatic fashion on the final day of the 2025 season.
Kim Turner’s side were crowned champions following a hard-fought victory over title rivals Cliftonville at the Danny Blanchflower Stadium, sealing the title and bringing a memorable campaign for the East Belfast club to a fitting conclusion.
As preparations begin for the defence of their crown and the return of UEFA Women’s Champions League football, the arrival of exciting young talents such as the Conway sisters further strengthens an already ambitious squad as Glentoran look to build on last season’s success.
Kim Turner, Glentoran Women’s Manager said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Gracie and Daisy to the club. They are two outstanding young players who have already shown real quality and maturity in the women’s game.
“Both players have progressed through the Northern Ireland pathway and performed very well at Lisburn Rangers, so they arrive with strong foundations and a real hunger to continue developing.
“As we prepare to defend the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership title and compete in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, it’s important that we continue to strengthen the group. Bringing in talented young players like Gracie and Daisy allows us to add quality to the squad while also building for the future.
“Gracie has a real attacking instinct and Daisy is a very composed defender. Just as importantly, they both have the right attitude and work ethic and we believe they have very bright futures ahead of them at this football club.”
