Glentoran v Glenavon

Just two days after a gruelling league encouter with Cliftonville at The Oval, The Glens are back in action tonight against Glenavon in the Quarter Final of the Irn-Bru Cup at Mourneview Park. Throughout the competition, Glentoran have fielded a relatively strong side showing how this season we want to take each competition seriously as we search for success in the form of silverware.

Colin Nixon has resumed training and played for the seconds alongside Calum Birney at the weekend however Monday's game may still come a week too soon for both players.

Our opponents Glenavon suffered a humbling 5-1 defeat at the hands of Crusaders at Seaview on Saturday. They will no doubt be eager to get back out there and bounce back with victory tonight. They are currently sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone in the Danske Bank Premiership so a game away from the league pressures may be exactly what Glenavon need as Gary Hamilton looks to bring a long-awaited trophey to Mourneview Park.

Tonight's game is a 7.45pm kick off at Mourneview Park: Admission prices are £10 for adults and £6 for concessions
