Glentoran pays tribute to former player Danny Hale

Glentoran Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former player Danny Hale.
Danny joined Glentoran during the 1961–62 season, making eight league appearances and scoring three goals. During his time at The Oval, he was part of the Glens side that lifted the Irish Intermediate Cup.
After leaving Glentoran, Danny went on to enjoy a long and successful career with a number of clubs, including Cliftonville, Crusaders, Dundalk and Derry City, where he became widely known and respected as a goalscorer.
Tributes have since been paid from across the football community, reflecting the regard in which Danny was held and the impact he made on the game.
Everyone at Glentoran Football Club extends sincere condolences to Danny’s family and friends at this sad time.
