Glentoran, together with the Raven Glentoran Supporters Club, is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Raven GSC treasurer Brian Kirkpatrick.

Affectionately known to all as Wee Brian or The Colonel, he was a much loved and highly respected member of the Raven club and the wider Glentoran family.

An auditor by profession, Brian brought great care and dedication to his long service as treasurer of the Raven club a role he fulfilled with pride for many years.

A loyal supporter both home and away, and a regular presence on European trips, Brian’s humour, warmth, and good company made him a popular figure among all who knew him.

In later years, Brian divided his time between his home overlooking Glenarm Bay and a peaceful village near Perpignan in the south of France, where he enjoyed retirement with his wife Liz.

Friends who visited him recently spoke fondly of his hospitality, sharp wit, and enduring love for Glentoran, and he had been planning a return visit to the Oval in the near future.

Everyone at Glentoran and the Raven Supporters Club extends our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Liz, daughter Kyla, and sons Neil and Keith at this sad time.
