Glentoran Women continued their impressive goalscoring form with a commanding 7-1 victory over Larne in Friday night’s Sports Direct Women’s Premiership encounter at Inver Park.

The Glens produced a ruthless opening, scoring three times inside the opening 13 minutes to take control before adding another two goals ahead of the interval.

Aimee Kerr broke the deadlock after seven minutes, with Naomi McLaughlin doubling the advantage shortly afterwards.

Mia Moore then made it 3-0 in the 13th minute as Kim Turner’s side underlined their early dominance.

Emily Wilson added the fourth midway through the opening half. It was a particularly significant moment for the forward, who recently returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Demi Vance converted from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark to give Glentoran a five-goal advantage at the break.

Vance scored her second penalty of the evening in the 56th minute before McLaughlin completed her double four minutes from time.

Larne substitute Chloe Tully found the net deep into stoppage time, but the Glens had long since secured another convincing victory.

The result leaves Glentoran eight points behind leaders Cliftonville with two games in hand.
