Glentoran Women marked Kelly Bailie’s final home appearance with a 4-0 victory over Lisburn Rangers at the Danny Blanchflower Stadium.
Faye Loughran scored twice, with Naomi McLaughlin and Emily Wilson also on target as the Glens secured all three points in their penultimate Sports Direct Women’s Premiership fixture of the season.
Bailie captained the side and was named Player of the Match following a performance which included a decisive contribution to Glentoran’s second goal.
Before kick off, Glentoran Chairman Colin Jess and Cheryl Lamont, a co-founding member of Glentoran Women, presented Bailie with a framed shirt commemorating her 30 seasons and 800 appearances for the club.
Loughran opened the scoring from a corner before Bailie played an important role in Glentoran’s second goal.
The captain won possession high up the pitch and found McLaughlin, who cut inside before finishing to double the advantage.
Loughran added her second before the interval, heading home from a Demi Vance corner to give Glentoran a 3-0 lead.
Wilson, who was introduced from the bench, completed the scoring with Glentoran’s fourth goal of the afternoon.
Bailie was later withdrawn, bringing her final home appearance for the club to an end after three decades in red, green and black.
Her contribution was recognised with the Player of the Match award on an afternoon celebrating her loyalty, longevity and influence on Glentoran and women’s football.
Bailie has made 800 appearances and won 37 trophies with the club, including 12 league titles, 10 Irish Cups and 10 League Cups.
She has also represented Glentoran in the Champions League on 10 occasions, earned 56 caps for Northern Ireland and became the first woman inducted into the Glentoran Hall of Fame.
She still has two matches remaining before bringing her playing career to an end.
