Glentoran Women's FC tonight went second in the Danske Bank Women's Premiership after a comfortable 4-0 win over Derry City Ladies at The Oval. The Glens goals came from the twin strikeforce of Ali McMaster and Rachel Rogan and two penalties from Kelly Bailie in her benefit season.
Following Cliftonvilles 3-2 defeat by Linfield this evening, the Glens leapfrog the Reds into second place in the table. We are now one point ahead with a game in hand and a goal difference of 37 compared to 27.
With just 10 days to go before the Cup Final this is shaping up as a very exciting end of the season for Glentoran Ladies.
