Glentoran kicked-off their defence of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership in prefect fashion with a 5-0 win over Lisburn Ladies at the Blanchflower Stadium.

Kelly Crompton got the reigning champions off to the perfect start with a goal inside five minutes before Mia Moore and Gracie Conway extended their advantage before the break.

Aimee Kerr and a second from Moore before the hour mark made sure the Glens wrapped up the convincing win on the opening night.

The hosts got off to the perfect start as they got their noses in front after only five minutes as Crompton found the net on a glorious evening.

It got even better for the Glens on 18 minutes when Moore doubled their advantage.

The home side were well on top and they added a third goal eight minutes before half-time as Conway finished off a good move.

Glentoran continued to dominate proceedings after the break and two goals in quick succession put the game to bed before the hour mark.

It was Kerr who added the fourth on 57 minutes before Moore grabbed her second of the night two minutes later to round off a great night for the champions.
