Larne 2-1 Glentoran

Fri, 24/11/2023 - 22:01

Two defensive lapses, early in each half, cost Glentoran at least a point at Inver Park tonight and left us firmly rooted in fifth place in the Sports Direct Premiership approaching the half way stage of the campaign after our second 2-1 defeat by reigning champions Larne..

Warren Feeney made two changes from last week’s home win over Ballymena United. Junior started in place of the injured Jay Donnelly and Josh Kelly starting in midfield in place of Niall McGinn who started tonight’s game on the bench.

Match Preview: Larne v Glentoran

Thu, 23/11/2023 - 20:52

Friday 24 November

Kick Off 7.45pm

Tomorrow evening we visit Inver Park to face an in-form Larne side sitting second in the Sports Direct Premiership.

Champions Larne remain unbeaten at Inver Park in all competitions this season, racking up 9 wins from 11 matches to date. With leaders Linfield not playing, last weekend’s 2-0 win over Coleraine - a 5th league win in a row - helped them move within 2 points of the summit as we head towards the half way point of the campaign.
