Glens Players' International Round-Up

Wed, 18/11/2020 - 01:10

Four of our first teamers return to Belfast tomorrow after a week away on international duty

Dayle Coleing was a history maker as Gibraltar's draws away to San Marino (0-0) and at home last night to Liechstenstein (1-1) secured his country's promotion to League C of the UEFA Nations League. Congratulations Dayle.

Gayle Bigirimana played a captain's part in Burundi's successful double header with Mauritania in the Qualifying Rounds of the African Cup of Nations. At the weekend, Bigi's national team travelled to a 1-1 away draw, before securing a 3-1 home win on Monday night.

Paul O'Neill and Caolan Marron were both in the starting line up for Northern Ireland Under 21s Euro Qualifier in Ukraine, alongside former Glens players Oliver Webber (Crystal Palace) and Caolan Boyd-Munce (Birmingham City). Northern Ireland held out until the 68th minutes but three quick goals in a five minute period condemned them to a 3-0 defeat.
