The club is delighted to announce that Chris Gallagher has signed a contract extension, seeing the Northern Ireland U21 International stay at Glentoran until at least the end of 2021/22 season.
Chris has played a vital part in the squad this season, helping us secure much-needed points.
Speaking to Glentoran.com, Mick McDermott said:
“Chris fully deserves this contract extension and we are delighted that he has agreed to stay committed to our long-term project.
He epitomizes what we ask of any young player: he wasn’t playing at the start of the season and he wasn’t happy, he knuckled down, he won back his place and he has proven his desire and commitment - that’s what pleases me more than anything!
He will remain an important part of GFC for the foreseeable future. Paul Millar has been instrumental in getting this agreement across the line - he works tirelessly to ensure we continue our Climb”
Speaking to Glentoran.com Chris himself said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to extend my contract for another two years at Glentoran. It’s a massive club with a great history and I’m excited to be part of the journey we are on.
It was a no brainer for me to extend my contract when talks began as I am very happy here and look forward to continuing to develop as a player and giving my all for the shirt week in and week out.”
