Glentoran were this week represented in the Foyle Cup with two teams at mini-soccer level (Under 10), the U12s, the U13s and the U16s.
Glentoran performed admirably winning our first 13 games in the competition across all the teams. The mini-soccer were excellent and secured top 10 finishes whilst in the main competition, the U13s were heartbreakingly defeated by Sheffield United on penalties in the semi final and the U16s lost in the Final at the Brandywell 2-1 to Derry Colts.
The U12s however wrote their name in the Glentoran history books, winning the Foyle Cup for only the second time for the club. They beat Dungannon on penalties in the Final after a 0-0 draw.
This week on glentoran.com we will have full reports along with pictures from each team represented this week.
All the boys did the club proud both on and off the pitch and congratulations not just to our champions but to all the boys who took part.
