Glentoran’s outstanding 2025/26 campaign has been further recognised with five nominations for the Northern Ireland Football Writers’ Association Awards.
Leading the line, Pat Hoban is shortlisted for the Sports Direct Player of the Year award after a prolific season that has yielded 31 goals to date, while manager Declan Devine is nominated for Manager of the Year as the title race reaches its climax.
MJ Kamson-Kamara is also recognised in the Young Player of the Year category, capping a campaign that has established him as one of the league’s most exciting emerging talents.
In the women’s game, Nadene Caldwell and Jess Foy have both been nominated for Player of the Year following their pivotal roles in Glentoran Women securing the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership title.
The winners will be announced at the NIFWA Awards on Sunday 3 May, with the evening also set to include the unveiling of the Premiership Team of the Year, where several Glentoran players will be firmly in contention.
