Glentoran Women produced a ruthless first-half display to secure an impressive 4-1 victory over Waterford Women’s FC at the RSC in their second All-Island Cup group stage fixture.
Kim Turner’s side took full advantage of the swirling conditions in a dominant opening spell, scoring four times before the half-hour mark to take firm control of the contest.
Emily Wilson opened the scoring on 14 minutes before Rachel Rogan made it 2-0 just five minutes later. Wilson struck again shortly after to claim her second of the afternoon, and Jess Foy rounded off a blistering 12-minute spell with the fourth goal.
Waterford responded in the second half, but the Glens managed the remainder of the game professionally to secure their second win of the competition.
