Terry Devlin has won the supporters’ vote and is the February Glentoran Player Of The Month.
Nineteen year old Terry played in all our six league and cup games in February, scoring in our 2-1 defeat at Solitude and after signing from Dungannon Swifts last summer he has firmly established himself at Glentoran, appearing in 32 first team matches in midfield and scoring three times. He has become a constant presence in the Glens midfield beside double vote winner Bobby Burns. He was joint runner up to Bobby in the January vote.
Boss Rodney McAree said to www.glentoran.com: “Terry has played every minute since my appointment and has been fantastic throughout. For a young player he shows outstanding maturity both on and off the pitch. Terry has a tremendous engine and is a very honest player. He’s a great player already and when he adds more goals to his game – which he will – he’s be even better. He totally deserves this recognition from our supporters.”
In a very clear two horse race, Terry beat his midfield partner Bobby Burns out of a third consecutive win by just three votes, a testament to the consistency of both players.
