An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Glentoran Recreation Co Ltd will be held on Friday 9th November 2018 at 7pm in the McLean Suite, Oval Grounds. The purpose of the meeting is twofold. Firstly the Directors wish to update the shareholders on recent activity with regard to an historic debt that was recently acquired by a third party. Secondly, to put to the shareholders the following resolution;
The Board of Directors recommend the sale of 1.02 acres of land at the Oval Grounds to the Belfast Harbour Commission.
The proceeds realised from such a sale are to pay down a large proportion of this historic debt.
This proposal will require the approval of 75% of the eligible votes in the company present on the evening of the EGM.
