The Officers and members of the Cookstown Glentoran Supporters Club gathered in the Captain's Lounge in the Bet McLean Oval after the final whistle on Saturday to present their player awards for the 2023-2024 season.
James Singleton won Player of the Year for a season of outstanding performances.
Jonathan Russell won the Young Player of the Year Award as he has done with so many supporters clubs after playing 35 games in his breakthrough season in the first team.
The awards were presented to James and Jonathan by Cookstown GSC Chairman Michael Wilson, who said: “Thanks to Ruth McCreery, Colin Jess and Marcus Kane for helping to organise Cookstown Glens player of the year awards at the Oval yesterday. We also had a long conversation with the new chief executive Tony, regarding his role and the future of Glentoran. Great to see the entire team up to support our presentation and a good turnout from Cookstown Glens, more great memories for young and old.”
Congratulations Singo and Jonny. Well deserved recognition.
