Contract News: Three more years for Paddy

Sat, 05/06/2021 - 20:52

Following yesterday's news on Ciaran O'Connor, the club is now delighted to announce that Patrick McClean has also agreed a further extension and has committed himself to Glentoran until at least June 2024.

Paddy came to the Oval from his hometown club Derry City in July 2019 and immediately became a massive hit with supporters, being voted Man of the Match in our Sadler's Peaky Blinders Irish Cup victory over Ballymena United.

So far Paddy has made 76 appearances in the heart of the Glentoran defence and was our highest appearance maker in the season just finished with 41. His standing at the club is such that Paddy captained the side towards the end of the season when Marcus Kane was injured.

More great news for the Glens fanbase. Here's to at least 3 more great years from Paddy.
