The club is delighted to confirm that the third of our first team squad to commit himself to a contract extension is Jay Donnelly.
Jay – who was today named by the NI Football Writers alongside Glens team mate Luke McCullough in the Uhlsport NI Premiership Team Of The Year – has extended his spell at the Oval until at least June 2023.
Jay (26) joined the club from Belfast Celtic in September 2020. Despite not having a full-time pre-season he hit the ground running and finished the season with 17 goals in 38 performances for the club. In doing so he very quickly established himself as a firm favourite with the Glens’ support as he contributed goals and great play to a number of very important victories this season. Not least his late winner in March that gave us our first league win in seven years over Crusaders.
