John McGuigan has celebrated his first month back at Glentoran by winning the first Glentoran Player Of The Month.
John won 28% of the supporters' vote in a keenly contested ballot after a month when he scored twice and was involved in most of our other goals.
Glentoran remain unbeaten in this season's Danske Bank Premiership following a 2-nil home victory over Warrenpoint.
Glentoran 20s today played Warrenpoint in the reverse of our first team fixture at The Oval.
We travelled to South Down with a very young side with Captain Eddie Shaw the elder statesman of the team at 18!
We were met with an experienced Warrenpoint side using their full quota of 5 over 20s and knew the young lads would be in for a tough afternoon.
The tough job got even harder when we lost Paul O'Neill to a red card on 20 minutes and faced playing over two thirds of the game with ten men.
Please note that tickets for next week's away game v Linfield at the National Stadium at Windsor Park, will be available from the ticket office at the Oval from 2pm tomorrow (Saturday) at our home game with Warrenpoint Town. Some concession tickets are available.

The Board of Glentoran announces that Commercial Director, Simon Kitchen has resigned from his position and from the Board due to work commitments and personal circumstances. We thank Simon for his tireless commitment and for his contribution to the club during his three years as a Director and wish him all the very best for his future.
The club will seek to appoint a new Commercial Director at the earliest opportunity.

This Saturday we defend the season’s unbeaten record at home to recently promoted Warrenpoint Town.
‘Point have three points from their first four games due to a home win over Ards 2 weeks ago. However they come to the Oval following a comfortable BetMcLean League Cup win over Lurgan Celtic on Tuesday night.
This season, for the first time, there will be a Glentoran Player Of The Month, voted on by Glentoran supporters. The poll will appear following the last game of each calendar month and the winner announced on this website early the following month. Just place your vote beside your choice. Voting closes at 11.59pm on Saturday 2nd September with the winner announced the following day.
Glentoran is delighted to announce the signing of Eoghan McCawl.
Eoghan (21), from Annacloy in County Down, is a right sided midfielder who left Scottish Premiership club St Johnstone in May, having spent most of last season on loan at Forfar Athletic as they won promotion from Scottish Division Two.
Four goals from Steven Gordon in his first outing after a close season injury and another from Paul O'Neill saw our Under 20 team run out comfortable 5-2 winners over Glenavon at the Oval tonight. Great performance and result from the lads.
