The Board of Glentoran wish to announce that Aubry Ralph has formally tendered his resignation from the post of Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Aubry has worked hard, diligently and selflessly on behalf of Glentoran during his entire tenure as a Director and all of his colleagues on the Board wish to formally record their thanks for his service and his unerring support during what has proved to be a particularly challenging time for our club.
Aubry has felt for some time that the other duties that he undertakes on behalf of the club, coupled with his responsibilities at the Irish Football Association (IFA), Northern Ireland Football League Limited and as a UEFA Delegate. are sufficiently onerous and that he would now prefer that the club plans for the long-term future by replacing him as Vice-Chairman.
Aubry’s resignation from his position as Vice-Chairman will take effect from Monday 27th May, 2013. However, he will offer himself up for re-election to the Board, as a Director, at our forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 30th May, 2013 and will continue to represent Glentoran FC at all appropriate meetings of the IFA.
As a replacement for Aubry as Vice-Chairman, the Board of Directors unanimously elected Stephen Henderson at the Board meeting held on Wednesday 8th May.
Stephen has been a valued member of the Glentoran Board for some time and I know that all of the Glentoran family will join with his fellow Board members in congratulating Stephen and wishing him every success in his new role within our club.
