THE LONG AND THE SHORT AND THE TALL: CELEBRATING 140 YEARS OF GLENTORAN IN THE EAST AN EXHIBITION OF GLENTORAN MEMORABILIA
Raven Glentoran Supporters Club is delighted to announce a very special exhibition to be held in the Raven GSC clubroom in the Raven Social Club .
To coincide with the Bright Umbrella production of “One Saturday Before the War” the stage play on Glentoran’s Vienna Cup adventure in 1914, the Raven GSC are hosting an exhibition of Glens memorabilia for the duration of the play in the club’s room at the Raven Social Club on Castlereagh Street, next door to the theatre.
Exhibition dates:
Thursday 6th October 6 pm - 8 pm
Friday 7th October 5 pm - 7 pm
Saturday 8th October 12 pm - 7 pm
Sunday 9th October 2 pm - 7 pm
Monday 10th to Thursday 13th October 6 pm - 8 pm
Take a trip down memory lane with a huge display of Glentoran shirts on show, along with those of our European opponents, match pennants, photographs, medals, balls, scrap books, programmes, and artefacts of massive Glentoran interest such as Bobby McGregor’s kitbag from the fateful evening in Sofia, Rab McCreery’s match worn shirt against Juventus, and the ball used for the game against Anderlecht at the Oval in 1968.

Admission to the exhibit is FREE however we have the facility for our visitors during the display to make a donation to the charity Beyond the Battlefield.
Don’t miss One Saturday Before the War on stage right beside us and only 150 yards from the homes of William Emerson and George Ferrett, two heroes of the Vienna Cup winning side 108 years ago!!!
