Everyone at Glentoran Football Club is immensely proud to see Kelly Bailie recognised with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Local Women Sport Awards, held last night at the Europa Hotel.
The honour, presented by Lady Mary Peters alongside Carolynne Murray of sponsors Shandon Hotel, celebrates Bailie’s outstanding contribution to the game across an extraordinary 29-season career in Glentoran colours.
A one-club legend, Bailie has secured around 30 major honours, captained the club in European competition and earned more than 50 caps for Northern Ireland.
Beginning her career as a forward, she evolved into a commanding defender and inspirational leader, playing a central role in one of the most successful eras in Glentoran Women’s history.
Hosted by UTV’s Ruth Gorman, the Local Women Sport Awards celebrate the very best of women’s sport across Ireland and the UK, highlighting those who continue to drive the game forward at every level.
