Home Draw for Big Two semi final

Following discussion with the IFA and a draw held at the National Stadium at Windsor Park this afternoon, we can confirm our Clearer Water Irish Cup Semi Final v Linfield will take place at the Bet McLean Oval on Friday 29th March 2024, kick off 19:45.

Ticketing details will be announced here and on the club social media channels once available.

The dismal number of Glentoran supporters who made the trip to Lurgan this evening were not rewarded for their efforts as this one fizzled out to an equally dismal scoreless draw, depriving the Glens of the opportunity to extend their lead over Crusaders to four points in the race for fourth and home draws in the European playoffs.

Glentoran Chairman Colin Jess, was delighted to welcome both the Rt Hon. Stuart Andrew MP, United Kingdom Secretary of State for Sport and Gordon Lyons MLA, Northern Ireland Minister for Communities, to The Bet McLean Oval today as part of a series of meetings discussing the delivery of Sub-Regional Stadia Funding. Also in attendance were David Brooks MLA (East Belfast), Gerard Lawlor, Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Ireland Football League and Patrick Nelson, Chief Executive of the Irish Football Association.

Glentoran Women: International Update

6 current Glens players – Joely Andrews, Kerry Beattie, Nadene Caldwell, Chloe McCarron, Emily Wilson and Demi Vance were in the Northern Ireland senior squad  for its home and away  UEFA Nations League Play-Off games against Montenegro.

In the away leg Demi scored the second NI goal in a 2-0 win, the other goal coming from Glens Legend Lauren Wade, now with Reading FC from a Demi assist. Demi was voted Player of the Match.

There were presentations made either side of yesterday’s Clearer Water Irish Cup win at the Bet McLean Oval.

Prior to kick off, club Chairman Colin Jess made a presentation on the pitch to Ricky Rea on behalf of the club to mark his retirement after many years of loyal and important service to Glentoran.

Glentoran Women: 2024 Premiership Fixtures

Glentoran Women will start their defence of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership with a home game v Crusaders Strikers on Sunday 5th May.

Home games this season have been moved to the Blanchflower Stadium, Holywood Road where the availability of stands and terraces will prove a much better facility for both home and away supporters.

The team is now fully back in pre-season training with twelve of our squad away on international duty last week with either the senior or under 19 Northern Ireland squads.
