Glentoran Women: Welcome 3 new signings

Glentoran Women’s preparations for the 2024 season were ramped up this weekend with the signings of  Sofie Keenan and Aimee Neal. Both girls are currently regular members of the Northern Ireland U19 squad.

Sofie (17) is a left back who joins us from Linfield. She joined the Blues in 2021 and  where she was a regular first team starter last season. She is from Warrenpoint.

Glentoran 1–0 Annagh United

Glentoran progress to the last sixteen of the Clearer Water Irish Cup with a narrow late win over a dogged Annagh United at the Bet McLean Oval. The NIFL Championship side deserve much credit for their performance. having continually frustrated the Glens until a clinical 89th minute finish from Junior ultimately settled the tie. The match will also be remembered for an emotional commemoration of Lydia Ross in the 21st minute – with a round of applause from both all fans and players alike providing an opportunity to show condolences and sympathy to the Ross family.

Please note that tomorrow's game is ticket only, as are all home games at the Bet McLean Oval. The club urges supporters to purchase tickets online today at https://www.glentoran.com/tickets to avoid unnecessarily long and delaying queues at the ticket window before kick off tomorrow. This would be a particular problem for this game as season tickets are not valid for matches in the Irish Cup.
