Bio
Paul Leeman made his Glentoran debut as a teenager in 1996 and went on to become one of the club’s most respected captains of the modern era. A product of the youth system, he quickly established himself in the first team with composure beyond his years and developed into a commanding central defender who embodied leadership and loyalty.
Over the next 14 years he made 597 appearances and scored 45 goals, collecting an outstanding list of honours that included four league titles, four Irish Cups, five League Cups, three Gold Cups and six County Antrim Shields.
Calm under pressure and fearless in the tackle, Leeman led by example and set the standard for those around him. He remains the last Glentoran captain to lift the Gibson Cup, a moment that endures as a symbol of his time in red, green and black.
Highly regarded by teammates, supporters and opponents alike, Leeman carried himself with dignity on and off the pitch. His leadership, consistency and commitment made him a cornerstone of Glentoran’s success in the 2000s and his contribution continues to be remembered with immense pride.
