Bio
Elliott Morris joined Glentoran from West Bromwich Albion in 2002 and announced himself within weeks with a remarkable European performance against Wisla Krakow. From that moment he became a constant in goal and a key figure in the dressing room for almost two decades.
Across 743 appearances he established himself as one of the most enduring and respected figures in the club’s history. His consistency, courage and professionalism underpinned seasons of triumph and adversity alike.
Morris lifted three league titles, four Irish Cups including two as captain, four League Cups and three County Antrim Shields. He represented Glentoran in Europe on 26 occasions, a record for a goalkeeper and even added a goal of his own with an unforgettable strike at the Brandywell.
Through the most testing periods for the club he remained loyal, setting standards on and off the pitch and often producing the saves that defined games and campaigns. After retiring he transitioned seamlessly into coaching, guiding the next generation of goalkeepers through the senior and academy ranks.
Calm, commanding and fiercely proud of the shirt, Elliott Morris epitomises everything Glentoran stands for. A leader, a record breaker and a true club legend.
