Signed in December 2013, Curtis Allen became a beacon for Glentoran supporters through some of the club’s most challenging years. A natural finisher with intelligent movement and tireless work rate, he delivered goals and moments that lifted The Oval when they were needed most.
Across six seasons he scored 110 goals, averaging close to twenty a campaign and consistently producing in the pressure moments that define Glentoran careers. His debut brace in the Irish Cup at Portadown set the tone, while his semi-final winner against Crusaders at Mourneview Park remains one of the defining goals of the decade.
At a time when the club was rebuilding, Allen stayed, contributed and led by example. He was admired for his commitment as much as his end product, a player who gave everything every week and connected deeply with the supporters. When full time football arrived at The Oval in 2020 he departed for Coleraine, leaving to a standing ovation and the gratitude of a fanbase that recognised his loyalty and impact.
Curtis Allen’s legacy is one of pride, consistency and professionalism. A goalscorer, a leader and a true Glentoran man.
