#HikeforHarrie - Support Moko's RVH appeal

Fri, 15/05/2020 - 00:00

e are sure everyone is taking the opportunity available to us to leave home to exercise each day during lockdown. So why not take the opportunity put your exercise to the benefit of a very good cause?

In honour of little Harrie Kane, baby son of Glentoran skipper Marcus and Aimee and baby brother of Mollie, we are offering a great opportunity to use your exercise to help raise much needed money for one of Northern Ireland’s most deserving causes.

Marcus, Aimee, and Mollie have set out to raise £10,000 to help with Bereavement care at the Royal Maternity Hospital Belfast

Every single penny raised will be spent on resources  for the unit, including items for memory boxes for parents and siblings, equipment for the room, staff training and all the little extras that made Marcus and Aimee’s stay in hospital that little bit easier. Your donations, no matter how small, will make a difference to families going through the worst time imaginable.

Glentoran supporters made a great start this week with a season ticket ballot by Dylan Gray raising £650 in less than a day. Now the whole Glentoran Family has an opportunity to help the Kane family, while staying fit and healthy during lockdown.

Your challenge is to walk 1 mile or more, in your local area observing all social distancing rules.

We'll then be asking you to post a photograph from your exercise picture on Facebook or Twitter, with the hashtag #HikeForHarrie and nominating 5 friends or family to follow you in this great cause.

At this time of lockdown, we're asking our Northern Ireland football family to join together as a community in honour of Harrie and in support of RVH Maternity.

You can make your donations om Aimee’s Just Giving page at:  https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/harriekane?utm_term=gpv82MWeN
