Glentoran U15 5 - 0 Mossley
Saturday 29th September

Glentoran under 15’s rediscovered their excellent pre season to gain a comfortable win against a much improved Mosley side.

Early on Lewis Adair broke up the right hand and played an excellent ball along the ground into the Mosley box. This proved hard to defend and a Mosley defender diverted the ball into his own net to make the score 1-0.

The Wee Glens kept the pressure on forcing the Mosley to conceding a corner which was superbly taking by Craig Spiers which was scored directly from the corner.

The Wee Glens continued to press and following yet another corner, taken by Craig Spiers the ball ended up in the back of the net but the goal was disallowed for pushing in the box.

As the wee glens continued to push on again Lewis Adair broke down the right hand side of play and delivered another excellent ball into the Mosley box with the hard working Gareth McGrattan in the right spot to side foot into the bottom corner. Taking the wee glens to a comfortable

3 - 0 lead at half time.

The wee glens started the second half strongly pilling the pressure onto Mosley with Lewis Adair breaking from midfield showing to much pace for the Mosley defence which left him one on one with the Mosley keeper keeping his nerve to put the keeper the wrong way and side footing into the bottom right hand corner.

The Mosley side kept fighting and upping the pressure but an excellent performance from the glens defence and midfield with Adam Wilson dominating every ball in the middle of the park kept them at bay.

As the wee glens continued battling on Mosley defender handling the ball in the box conceding a penalty which was superbly taking by our goal keeper Neil Edgar driving the ball straight down the middle giving the Mosley keeper no chance of saving . Taking the Wee Glens to a 5 - 0 conferrable victory.
