Glentoran U15 4 - 0 Bloomfield
Saturday 27th October
The Under 15s produced a hard working performance to beat Bloomfield by 4 goals to 0 at Orangefield Park.
The early stages of the match were very tight with both teams working hard to create openings.
The first chance for the Glens came half way through the first half when the hard working Gareth McGrattan was fouled inside the Bloomfield box and Conor McGrattan stepped up to convert the penalty and give the Wee Glens the lead.
The second half began with the Glens pressing forward in search of a second and it came when Craig Spiers produced and unstoppable shot from the edge of the box to double the lead. Not satisfied with a two goal lead the Glens continued to push forward and eventually the third goal came.
Scott Kane received the ball inside his own half and passed the ball back to his centre back partner Conor McGrattan who was standing just outside his own penalty box. Conor hit the ball towards the Bloomfield box in the hope of finding one of his strikers and watched in amazement as the ball bounced once, cleared the keeper and finished up in the top corner of the Bloomfield net.
Following some good passing Lewis Adair produced an excellent finish to add the fourth to leave the final score 4 0 in favour of the Glens.
For yet another hard working performance at left back Lee Carser was named man of the match.
