A 71st minute equaliser from Jay Donnelly gave Glentoran a 1-1 draw over fourth placed Larne in the Danske Bank Premiership at Inver Park this evening.
Mick McDermott made just one change from Friday’s win at Carrick, Robbie McDaid replacing Rory Donnelly in attack. McDaid had the first serious effort of the evening when he shot over after six minutes. This was followed by efforts from Larne, also over the bar from Herron and Doherty.

Larne's 2-1 win against us at Inver Park. in January 2020, thanks to Johnny McMurray's late strike, was their first over Glentoran since 1987. Indeed the 1986/87 Season is the last time Larne finished above the Glens in the Irish League, though the Inver Men came close to ending that unwanted record last season, until in the penultimate game of last season a goal just after half time by Conor McMenamin secured a 1-0 Glens win at Inver Park and with it a third-place finish and automatic qualification for

There were a couple of positional changes for Glentoran for this fixture with Luke McCullough going into midfield alongside Hrvoje Plum and Seanan Clucas with Caolan Marron playing in the centre of defence alongside Paddy McClean.

General Sale
General sale of the Nike Glentoran Away 21/22 kit will be from tomorrow (Friday) between 3 PM and 5.30 PM at the Glentoran Superstore.
The superstore will also open on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 12:30 PM.
On Saturday last, prior to our home Danske Bank Premiership match with Portadown at the Bet McLean Oval, The club was presented with an official replica of Lance Sergeant Thomas Pearson’s Military Medal. The Medal was presented by the Irish Guards to Glentoran Chairman Stephen Henderson in the centre circle just before the start of the Portadown game. The medal was commissioned and framed by the Glentoran Community Trust, with the kind assistance of Glentoran supporter John Henry, and The Irish Guards.
