Seconds In Action On Wednesday

Glentoran Seconds are in Steel and Sons Cup action on Wednesday night at the Oval.  Spike Hill's Wee Glens take on Sirocco Works managed by former Glentoran player Darren Lockhart.  Why not come along and see who moves a step closer to the Christmas morning final?  The game will be played to a finish with extra time and penalties if required.  Kick off is 7.30pm.

Admission price is £2. Children are free.

Friendly arranged with Bangor

A friendly game between a Glentoran XI and Bangor has been arranged for Monday night (17th Sept) at the Oval with a 7.30pm kick-off. Manager, Eddie Patterson, is keen to give some players game time and will use this opportunity to give Stuart Elliott his first run out at the Oval since he returned to the club.

Admission is £2. Children are free.

Glentoran v Coleraine- Preview

At 3pm tomorrow, Glentoran host Coleraine at the Oval in a top of the table clash. Coleraine currently sit top of the table with 13 points whilst the Glens are just 1 point behind on 12 points. On the back of two straight victories on our travels at Ballinamallard and then Dungannon, the Glens will look to continue their good form by picking up 3 more points to go top of the table.

Issue number 5 of the 2012-13 Glentoran Gazette is a must read for all Glentoran fans. Along with all the regular features there's an interview with on fire striker, Andy Waterworth and Roy Walsh looks back at the game against Juventus in 1977.

We welcome Coleraine to the Oval on Saturday and hopefully we'll continue the good form we have shown so far this season.

The fonaCAB suite will not be open this weekend.

The Premier Lounge will open as usual from 12:45pm and will feature the lunchtime Barclays Premier League match between Norwich v West Ham (kick off 12:45pm). Live coverage of the Glens v Coleraine match will be shown on the screens at 3pm and to finish the day another premiership game featuring Sunderland v Liverpool (5:30pm).

Members and their guests welcome as always.

Under 17 Trials

Any player born in 1996 and interested in playing for the Glentoran Under 17 team should attend for open trials at the Billy Neill pitches, Comber Road, on Tuesday or Thursday at 6.15pm and ask for Eddie Finn.
