James Ferrin tonight signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2018/19 season.
Defender James joined the club in July 2016 and has made 16 appearances so far in his first full season, scoring one goal.
Manager Gary Haveron said, “James was a pleasure to deal with over this contract extension. He was determined to stay and further establish himself at Glentoran. The negotiations basically took about two minutes.
James is the sort of player we need at the club. He’s totally honest, a very hard worker and as well as starting in his best position at centre back he can play very effectively across the back four and in central midfield. In fact a couple of our better performances recently were when he was in midfield. I can always trust James to do the right things and I’m delighted he’s committed his future to us”
