Glentoran vs Ards - Supporter Information

Mon, 12/10/2020 - 18:35

Glentoran vs Ards – 13th October 2020 - Kick-off 7.45pm

Entry to this game is restricted to HOME supporters ONLY who are in possession of a 2020-21 Glentoran Season Ticket.

NO other supporters will be admitted.

This is a Co. Antrim Shield tie and as in previous seasons, is not covered by your Season Ticket. The admission price is £10 for adults and £5 for concession, and we would strongly request that where possible, supporters pay by credit or debit card in the interests of hygiene and public safety. If that is not possible, please ensure to  present the correct money to the turnstile operators.

If anyone has had any of the COVID-19 symptoms within the last few days (high temperature - 37.8 degrees or above, a new and persistent cough or a loss of taste or smell) please DO NOT ATTEND the game.

Everyone entering the stadium will be subject to a temperature check so please arrive earlier than you would normally to ensure that we get everyone admitted prior to kick off.

Everyone should adhere to the 2 metre Social Distancing restrictions.

We would request that all attending wear a face covering until you reach your viewing point and at any time when you are moving around.

Due to the 2 metre Social Distancing restriction we are only able to use every other row of seating and we have to have a gap of 4 seats between people (except those from the same household).

Season Tickets are allocated to 4 main areas however due to restrictions we will not be able to accommodate everyone in their specified area. Spectators should remain in their allocated area for the duration of the game.

Supporters on the terracing - please do not attempt to change ends but remain on the on the spot where you spent the first half. No flags can be permitted on the railings at this match.

Main Stand Upper Deck:

Those holding Grandstand Family Season Tickets will be located in the central section of the Upper Deck, Main Stand. Stewards can advise as to where these are located.
Seats are in groups of 3 and marked with green stickers.
Whilst we can accommodate some other ST holders we unfortunately do not have capacity for all fans. There is however seating available in the Railway Stand and we would kindly ask that you avail of that.

Main Stand Lower Deck:

The three Family groups with tickets for this stand will be accommodated. Most of the others will be accommodated too but some will need to avail of seating in either the Family Stand or Railway Stand.

We would request that supporters DO NOT sit in the back row (bench) please.

Family Stand:

All tickets for this area can be accommodated.

Sydenham Terrace:

All tickets for this area can be accommodated.

Stewards will monitor numbers in each area to avoid problems. We would ask that you follow the guidance of Stewards at all times.

Please be aware that it will not be possible to accommodate terrace fans in the grandstand should the weather be poor so we would advise suitable clothing and umbrellas.

General:

Seats which are available for use are marked with GREEN stickers. Please DO NOT sit in any other seats. Please do not move or remove the green stickers.

GREEN circles have been painted on both the Sydenham and City End Terraces 2 metres apart. We request that you use these as guidance (except persons from the same household).

To avoid excess numbers on exiting we will have an additional exit gate open into Redcliffe Street.

Glentoran Football Club recognise that these measures will mean changes for many who have a standard match day routine. We are however very keen to have supporters back in the stadium.

Should there be no further restrictions be introduced by the UK Government, the Assembly or the City Council, we would hope to add to these numbers for future games.

We would continue to stress though that there are no guarantees and the health, safety and wellbeing of our players, staff, volunteers, supporters and our local community, remains our number 1 priority.

Thank you.
