It’s that time of year again!!
What a year it’s been so far. We at Glentoran feel that this year the support of the Glentoran Family is needed more than ever. Due to the health & safety restrictions on supporter attendances and general mobility caused by Covid 19, we are unable to provide Hampers and Survival packs this year.

To offset this and maximise the goodwill of our supporters, the Glentoran Christmas Appeal Committee has considered all options and has agreed that the most effective way to proceed this year is through asking our Fans for CASH DONATIONS ONLY. These can then be transferred into shopping vouchers, meat vouchers and electric or gas top up vouchers to help those who have been affected by the virus.
2020 will be the seventh consecutive year the extended Glentoran Family will seek to help those who have fallen on hard times. Since launching our appeal in 2014 we have provided over two thousand families with Food Hampers, Gifts, Toys, Electric and Gas Top Up Vouchers, hundreds of Survival Packs to the Homeless Community along with food donations to Haven a mobile Food Station in Belfast. Also, we have been proud to donate Christmas gift sets to our dear friends in the Stella Maris Hostel.

We often hear the old saying 'Charity begins at Home'. So as usual we are asking those who are in a financial position to do so, to donate to our appeal this year. We are also asking that you all let us know of anyone within our Glentoran or wider East Belfast Community who you feel has been affected by Covid 19. If you know anyone who has lost their job, has tested positive and is struggling to regain full health, maybe someone who has been isolating and hasn't been able to see their family members, then please contact us via email with details of the person/family who we can help. In previous years we have been amazed at the response from all our fans, so we hope to end this unprecedented and unforgettable year by helping put a smile back on some of the faces of people who need it most. That can only happen with the help of our Glentoran family.
