Firstly let me start of by thanking everyone who has registered and already paid for this month's 200 Club. Although you might not realise it, you are making a massive contribution to our club. Our winners' pot currently stands at £580, meaning 1st place prize for this month's first draw is a guaranteed £290, and we are giving those who have not signed up yet one last opportunity to get in on the action!
If you would like to become a member of the 200 Club, all you have to do is register by sending us an email to commercial@glentoran.com and we will issue you with your membership number and our bank details. The closing of date for payments is normally the 15th of each month (today) but with this being the first month, we are extending this date to this coming Friday. If your payment is with us before then, you will be in this month's draw. The Superstore at the Oval will be open on Thursday from 4.30pm to 7pm to accept payments for this month.
For those of you who don't know what the 200 Club is, well it's pretty simple really. Our aim to to raise much needed funds for Glentoran while also giving something back to the people who join the 200 Club. All monies raised from the 200 club are split in half. 50% goes to a winner's pot and the other 50% is to be used to pay utility bills for Glentoran. The winners' pot is then divided into the following :
1st prize wins 50% of the winners' pot
2nd prize wins 25% of the winners' pot
3rd prize wins 10% of the winners' pot
4th, 5th and 6th prizes win 5% of the winners' pot each
The 200 club will run right throughout the year and not just during the season. Our December draw each year will be a "Double Up" draw. This mean, the club will not receive anything during this month's payments, instead all the monies raised will go into the winners' pot! To enter for December you must be a paying member of the club for the previous 2 months (October and November). Anyone who joins in December will NOT be entered into the December draw, but will have their monies carried over to the January draw.
I would like to take this opportunity again to thank the committee of the 200 Club (who are all volunteers of our great club) for their hard work in getting the 200 Club up and running.
