A celebration to mark Ballymac GSC's 40th anniversary was held on Saturday night.
Ballymac GSC Chairman, Thomas Sewell and the members of the club welcomed guests from other Glentoran supporters' clubs, past and present Glentoran players and Glentoran FC officials to their clubrooms to mark their 40th anniversary. It was a superb evening and great to have so many of the Glentoran family together for the occasion.
The evening began with a minute's silence being observed for those members of the club who are, sadly, no longer with us.
A short DVD was shown showing many of the highlights of the club's trips and events in pictures. Speaches followed from Ballymac GSC Chairman, Thomas Sewell, Glentoran FC Chairman, Stephen Henderson, founder member Jim McAllister and Ballymac GSC President, Paul Leeman.
On behalf of Ballymac GSC, Thomas Sewell then accepted gifts from numerous supporters clubs and also one from Glentoran FC Chairman, Stephen Henderson in recognition of the club reaching this magnificent milestone.
Those in attendance enjoyed an excellent supper and musical entertainment as well as the opportunity to look around the club's marvellous display of memorabilia.
All in all a fantastic evening and thank you to the Ballymac GSC for their very generous hospitality. Here's to the next 40.....
