Extension and Testimonial for Skipper Moko

Glentoran FC is delighted to announce that our captain, Marcus Kane has signed an extension to his current contract. That means Marcus is now committed to Glentoran until the end of the 2022/23 season at least.

As tghe current season is Marcus' tenth with Glentoran, the club has also granted him a much deserved testimonial year. The Testimonial Committee will be chaired by Superstore Manager and GFC1882 Director Ruth McCreery. We know this will be a very popular testimonial so there will be full details of how supporters can help Marcus and Ruth announced here shortly.

Obituary: Maura Muldoon

We would like to express deep sadness at the passing of former Glentoran Director and former Chairperson of Glentoran Women, Maura Muldoon, and to send condolences to her partner, Cheryl, and to her brothers and sisters Eleanor, Sean, Michael and Grainne. Maura was a director from 2008 until 2010.

Another Jenkins hat trick as Wee Glens progress

A third consecutive hat trick for Jordan Jenkins (that's a hat trick in each of the three matches he's played since signing from Glenavon in July) continued his wonderful start to the season as Glentoran Seconds progressed in the Steel & Sons Cup with a 4-1 away win over Shankill Juniors this afternoon.

An opening goal from Robbie McDaid and a Conor McMenamin hattrick gave the Glens a comfortable win at the Bet McLean Oval in tonight's Danske Bank Premiership clash.

There was just one change to the starting line up from last Saturday's game at Cliftonville; Conor McMenamin coming in to replace Rory Donnelly.

Tomorrow night we finally welcome the wider Glentoran support back to the Bet McLean Oval for a competitive fixture for the first time in eighteen months.

Ballymena have undergone a major overhaul of their squad this summer, with 9 new signings made and 11 departures.

Most notable of the departures was, of course, our signing of talismanic front man Shay McCartan, with goalkeeper Ross Glendinning also swapping Warden Street for the Oval.
