Details have just been released of Paul’s Testimonial Day Format for Saturday 19^th July 2008, and what a day it poses to be both on and off the field.

The lure of a “full squad” Ipswich side is the main attraction with Jim Magilton's team keen to make Paul’s day a memorable one at the Oval.  Jim is delighted to be involved in a day to mark a fabulous contribution by Paul to local football in general and Glentoran in particular.

Alan McDonald’s squad are excited about the opportunity to play against an Ipswich team who no doubt will be challenging for a Premiership position in 2009, and Paul is delighted to have secured Ipswich as opponents for his final testimonial event.

 “Jim Magilton has worked wonders at Ipswich and is well respected in the highest circles within football.  It will be an honour and a pleasure to lead my Glentoran Team onto the Oval for what will be the crowning moment of my year.  I just hope our fans will come out in their numbers to support me and the team” said Paul.

From today, fans will have an opportunity to purchase the unique “Special Testimonial Glentoran Shirts” worn by the players on the day and they are available at a cost of £100 each by contacting Colin Davidson on 07866298502.  These are a real collector’s item and are sure to go quickly.

Prior to the main game, enjoy watching a Junior challenge match  between the Glentoran under 14 side and Oliver Plunkett who have strong connections with Ipswich and are a former club of the N Ireland international and Ipswich Manager, Jim Magilton.

A special commemorative programme will be available together with a very different “Leeper DVD” which is something not to be missed.

The game kicks off at 3pm and admission prices are £10 for adults £5 for concessions.  However Glentoran will be officially launching their Mural before the game and will be providing great family entertainment from 12 noon.

Penalty shoot outs/Slides/Bouncy Castles/"Gladiator Style" Pugil stick contests/Face Painters and much more will be available FREE to all under 16’s when accompanied by an adult paying the match entrance fee.  In addition, all under 16s will get a FREE burger and drink for coming along to support the Launch of the Mural and to support the day.  This offer will cease at 2.00pm and it really is a great chance for mums and dads to bring their kids to enjoy a FREE FUN day at the Oval.
